3 Days in Beautiful Bali

It’s hard to avoid all the beautiful places in Bali, you can give it your best shot but inevitably you’re going to run into a glorious temple or some kind of world heritage site. I’m not sure why you’re trying to avoid these places in the first place but it’s time to man up and check them out! Monkey Forest, Tanah Lot Temple, Uluwatu, water parks, surfing, sunsets, you name it! I had 3 days to experience beautiful Bali and while I jammed as much as I could in there staying for a week might be a better idea, especially if you want to spend a few of those days lounging around, and I know you do.

A Little Magic at Tanah Lot Temple

There was a little magic in the air tonight folks, magic that can only be experienced by watching the sun do down at the Tanah Lot Temple in Bali. I didn’t really know what was going on half the time but I know I loved it! Just one of those nights that you dream about when you’re playing a trip away. Travel can sometimes be a little tiring and stressful (not that I’m complaining!) so it’s nice when the stars align and everything goes right, how about that sunset!

Sunset Dinner on Kuta Beach

After a hard day exploring paradise I like to sit down for dinner on the beach and watch a gorgeous sunset light up the sky. Nothing else is acceptable, I demand excellence! Seriously though dinner on Kuta Beach might be a little crowded but it’s too good to refuse. I’ll have you know it actually started raining later on in the night, I’m currently assessing my legal options in the matter.

The Rice Terraces of Ubud

Next on my list of super cliche but undoubtedly fun Bali sites are the rice terraces of Ubud. I don’t really know what to say about them other than they’re great, so yeah, shout out to my cheerful Balinese taxi driver!

Ubud Monkey Forest All-Stars

I’m in Bali and my first stop is the sacred monkey forest sanctuary in Ubud, an atmospheric spot that is home to some of my favourite monkeys (yes I have a list of favourite primates, Gibbons are number 1 by the way). As friendly as these long-tailed macaques are, you want to be respectful or you’re liable to receive a year’s supply of rabies as your reward. Here’s who made the roster for my inaugural Ubud Monkey Forest All-Stars:
